AEW Dynamite Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From November 13

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Dynamite on November 13.

All Elite Wrestling has been advertising that Jon Moxley would seize control of TBS this week, so hopefully the network has hired extra security since his plan was announced ahead of time instead of it being a spontaneous invasion.

Here is a look at what AEW advertised for Wednesday's show at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut:

• FTR vs. House of Black
• Adam Cole vs. Konosuke Takeshita
• Jay White and Juice Robinson vs. "Hangman" Adam Page and Christian Cage
• Lio Rush vs. Swerve Strickland
• Lance Archer vs. Roderick Strong
• Britt Baker vs. Penelope Ford

Let's take a look at everything that happened on this week's Dynamite.

Dynamite opened with Cage and Page making separate entrances for the opening bout against White and Robinson.

Hangman and Switchblade locked up and made a clean break on the ropes. Their early exchanges were relatively simple and reserved when considering how much these two claim to hate each other.

Nick Wayne interfered by kicking Robinson behind the ref's back. Hangman and Captain Charisma seemed to have a bit of friction at one point when Page didn't want to tag in at first. It makes sense that they wouldn't get along just because they are both heels, so it was nice to see that little detail included.

Hook appeared in the crowd and pulled Wayne over the barricade. They fought out of the arena while Robinson used the distraction to take control.

This was a fun and energetic tag match. There was nothing to complain about, but it left room for other bouts on the card to outshine it.

Thanks to a distraction from Shayna Wayne and a shot to Robinson's head from Kip Sabian, Hangman was able to score the win.

This was a solid 15-minute bout to get the show going.

Result: Cage and Page defeated Robinson and White

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

• Hangman is still pretty popular for a guy who is supposed to be a despicable heel.
• Cage hit the turnbuckle chest-first as hard as Bret Hart used to. 
• White and Page have incredible chemistry. Everything they do together looks great. 
• Robinson lost his balance on the top turnbuckle, but he and Page saved it. 

Before a commercial break, Kris Statlander was shown attacking Kamille and Mercedes Moné backstage before putting them through a wall.

After the break, Tony Schiavone interviewed Will Ospreay.

He called out Kyle Fletcher and they argued about his change of heart and being part of The Don Callis Family. It led to Fletcher challenging Ospreay to a match at Full Gear, which Billy Goat quickly accepted.

Lance Archer and Brian Cage showed up to support Fletcher, so Will Hobbs and Mark Davis came out to help Ospreay. A huge brawl broke out as Roderick Strong made his way out for a match against Archer.

The bout got started on the stage, and they fought to the back to begin this Falls Count Anywhere match as the show cut to a break.

There was little wrestling and a lot of chaos during this match. The Machine showed up to help his partner, so Matt Taven and Mike Bennett arrived to help Strong.

The promo battle between Ospreay and Fletcher was great, and using it as a way to lead into Strong vs. Archer was a good way to flow from one segment to the other.

Strong managed to pin Archer in the crowd to win his third match and officially earn a shot at MJF at Full Gear.

Result: Strong defeated Archer

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

• Ospreay throwing the screwdriver so it stuck perfectly in the mat next to the ring was pretty cool. 
• Strong attacked Archer with a kendo stick during his entrance. 
• The way Taven was chokeslammed into two security guards looked rough. 

Takeshita attacked Strong before Cole came out to get their match going. They traded punches as Cole's music continued to play.

Since this was a standard match with no stipulations, they kept it in the ring and put on a more traditional performance, but that doesn't mean it was all headlock and hip tosses.

Big Take was doing everything he could to dominate Cole once he had the upper hand. He was extra motivated after MJF paid him and Callis off to inflict as much damage as possible.

These two put on the best performance during the first hour and had the crowd popping for every big spot. Takeshita was shown pulling out MJF's diamond ring and using it for a loaded punch to get the pin and the win.

Result: Takeshita defeated Cole

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

• There was no logical reason for Cole's music to keep playing, but it made for a fun moment. 
• The former NXT star doesn't look like he should be able to pick up Takeshita as easily as he did in this bout. 
• There was a moment when Cole hit a neckbreaker and looked like he wasn't going to get Takeshita over for the impact. 

The Death Riders were shown arriving at the arena shortly before we saw Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli beating up JD Drake with a chair for no reason.

Moxley gave a promo about power before Orange Cassidy came out to respond. Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero joined him. OC challenged Yuta to a match next week and Mox agreed. As Moxley was trying to leave, Darby Allin appeared out of nowhere and dove onto him from the crowd.

The Death Riders tried to leave without Yuta, but Allin dove into the truck to stop them. Claudio demolished Allin against a garage door and Yuta finally jumped into the truck before they took off.

The next match saw Baker and Ford square off in a singles bout. They started with a bit of chain wrestling before DMD unleashed the first strike with a punch to the face.

Ford wasted some time at ringside to draw Baker in for an attack as the show cut to a break. They picked up the pace during the commercials, but the slow start took the crowd out of the match.

There seemed to be a bit of a chemistry issue because we've seen much better performances out of both women.

Baker ended up getting the victory with her signature Lockjaw submission.

Result: Baker defeated Ford

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

• Marina Shafir bullied a cameraman to get into the ring and film Mox. 
• The way Claudio whipped Allin into the door was nasty. 
• The crowd was hot and cold all night. It was especially cold during this match. 
• Ford's Muta lock looked awesome.

The next matchup featured Rush taking on former AEW world champion Strickland.

They traded some words before Rush shoved Swerve. It seemed like Strickland knew all of his opponent's tricks and was ready for his usual antics, so Rush took a breather to regroup.

Both of these men are as quick as it gets, so trying to describe all of the action is pointless. They did too many cool things to list all of them.

Even if every performance isn't a hit, one of AEW's strengths is being able to drop great matches like this in our lap on a random Wednesday.

Swerve was able to counter a poisonrana and turn it into Big Pressure to get the win. This was solid from top to bottom and had a clean finish. You can't ask for much more than that.

Swerve called out Bobby Lashley after the match. He and MVP showed up, but that left Shelton Benjamin to attack Strickland from behind. The Hurt Syndicate dismantled the former world champion.

Result: Strickland defeated Rush

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

• Harley Cameron and Mina Shirakawa had a hilarious exchange backstage. 
• The way both men flipped into a standoff at ringside was incredible. 
• The crowd woke up and began chanting "This is awesome."

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler took on Brody King and Malakai Black for a spot in the big tag match taking place at Full Gear on November 23. Private Party watched from the stage.

Black and Wheeler started for their teams with an energetic sequence. Both teams got in some good offense, but FTR had the upper hand for most of the first half.

Black was in the ring for a long time, so once he finally made the hot tag, a fresh King started cleaning house.

Both teams came close to winning a few times, but the match finally came to an end when King put Harwood to sleep.

Result: House of Black defeated FTR

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

• House of Black's music sounded different.
• Black's mask was really cool. 
• Buddy Matthews was not present for this bout. 
• FTR mocking Black by sitting next to him while he was down at ringside was funny. 

Wednesday's Dynamite was promoted as "Mox takes over the Superstation," but all we got was a standard promo and a short fight, so that was overhyped and fell short of expectations.

The majority of the matches were decent, but two stood out above the rest as bouts you should take the time to see if you didn't watch live.

Rush vs. Strickland and FTR vs. House of Black were both hard-fought contests that featured clean finishes with the right victors.

Full Gear is shaping up to be a great PPV, so the next few shows before November 23 should see the final few bouts added and the major storylines addressed at least one more time.
